FAQ
Where can I place the Portable Humidifier?
Our portable humidifier is designed with versatility in mind, making it perfect for personal use in various settings. Here are some recommended placement options:
- Place it on your desk while working
- Set it on your vanity while you indulge in your skincare routine
- Place it on the nightstand of your hotel room while traveling
- It can fit comfortably on the tray table of a train or plane while traveling
Keep in mind that the Canopy Portable Humidifier has a hydration radius of about 4 feet, so ensure it's placed within proximity to experience its benefits fully.
What is the runtime on the Portable Humidifier?
When the unit is plugged in, it can operate continuously without any time constraints.
In battery mode, the humidifier can run for up to 11 hours on the low setting, with a full battery charge. If you opt for medium or high settings, the runtime may vary slightly due to increased power consumption.
How do I clean the Portable Humidifier?
The Water Tank, which sits on top of the unit, Steel Filter which attaches to the bottom to keep out dust and debris, and tank Cap are all dishwasher safe, making it easy to maintain cleanliness. Simply place them in the dishwasher for hassle-free cleaning.
To clean the bottom of the unit, where the electrical components are stored, we recommend using a damp rag or antibacterial wipe. Wipe the bottom fan intake and the top of the basin once a week to remove any dust or debris that may have accumulated.
Does the Portable Humidifier have a filter like the other Canopy Humidifiers?
Unlike our other Humidifiers (the Bedside, Nursery, and Large Rooms units) that feature our signature paper filter technology, the Portable Humidifier does not require a filter.
While our paper filter technology remains ideal for everyday home use, the filter-free design of the Portable Humidifier ensures easy maintenance and hassle-free operation, making it perfect for travel.
What kind of water should I use in the Portable Humidifier?
Your Portable Humidifier works with tap, filtered, or distilled water. Distilled water is recommended for optimal performance, and to reduce maintenance, but it's not required.
How do I travel with the Portable Humidifier?
Our Portable Humidifier is TSA-approved, making it the perfect travel companion for your journey.
When you're going through the TSA checkpoint, remember to empty your Canopy Portable Humidifier to comply with TSA regulations.
After passing through security you can easily refill your Portable Humidifier at any water bottle station before you reach your gate.

Just what I needed a travel sized well made wireless/rechargeable humidifier that last long enough to get through a full nights sleep. Thank you.
Great bedside humidifier!! Works wonderful, easy to fill and clean.
The ease of assembly and quietness of this product is impeccable. Plus, the quality of packaging as well as portability makes this humidifier a hard one to beat. And, the bonus of it being a diffuser? Score!!! The scent I received with it was delightful!
I have no idea how this humidifier works. It emits no mist, and it doesn't leave the surrounding area damp; yet, somehow it helps me sleep. I'm thinking maybe magic . . . Whatever the secret is, I highly recommend this item. It's small enough not to take up the entire bedside table, it's very quiet, it uses plain old tap water, and it's very easy to figure out. The instructions were very clear. Basically, you just fill the tank and push the button. Plus, it's very cute. I may have to glue on a pair of googly eyes and give it a name. Buy one. You'll love it.
I've already written a review for this little humidifier--you can find it a little ways down where I complain about how I dumbly managed to melt the front of mine trying to get a sticker off with alcohol. I didn't see an option to edit my review, so I'm posting another one: This time with an update from really cool customer service, and details about this little humidifier's performance.
So I melted the front of my cute humidifier like a dodo. And then I left the country with it, determined to use it. I travel every other week for work, and last month took me to Greenland. Greenland in August is cold and muddy, which means to compensate the inside of the little inn I stayed at was very warm and very dry. I have trouble sleeping with dry air, and past travel humidifiers off Amazon hadn't done me any favors. I had high hopes for Canopy's Portable Humidifier.
First--the travel lock was really handy for storing it in luggage. The little bag kept everything together too--charging cord, essential oil, and scent puck. When I got to my room, I ran this humidifier 24/7 for 10 days at levels 2 and 3 (max). It pumped out a lot of moisture--enough to keep me from coughing and waking up at night. Refilling it was easy. Operating it took a bit of a learning curve--I had to look at the little pamphlet a few times to see what indicating lights meant what--but once I was familiar with it, it was easy. And the Unwind essential oil that came with it made my entire room smell like soothing tea. It was awesome.
Emptying it, packing it back up for travel, and bringing it back home was easy. I took the top off and opened the tank to let it air out for a few days before putting it back in my luggage for my next trip. I had left a second Canopy humidifier on my desk in my office at home--and that one was fine too. No mold or anything. What I didn't expect to find was... a third humidifier delivered to me. When I was on my trip, Canopy had sent me another humidifier for the one that I'd melted the front of. I was really floored--and a little embarassed, because apparently you can remove stickers with more than just alcohol!--but mostly, I was really touched and grateful. On top of a great travel humidifier, it's from a company that's really cool about customer service. Thank you!!
All in all, I'm really glad I have this little thing. The only other feedback I have is about the essential oil puck. For prospective buyers or current users--be patient with the essential oil puck after you've used it a few times. It becomes saturated, so it'll take a little longer to absorb the oil drops. Just let it lay flat on your table for a minute or two before putting it back on the humidifier. Still works like a dream, and you can enjoy the scented mist.
Thank you Canopy! I really appreciate this little humidifier!
